Crayon Art Sculptures

An artist by the name of Hoang Tran takes Crayola crayons to a new level with her amazing pop culture sculptures. I can't believe she's able to get this much detail on the tip of a crayon. Incredible!
I LOVE the Game of Thrones set, but they're all equally impressive, don't you think?

Friday Funny

I'm not sure why I find the tyrannosaurus rex so funny, but I do. Who's with me?

Have a great weekend everyone!

Physics Gets Animated - Higgs Boson Explained

Have you heard all the recent buzz over the newly discovered "God particle"? Admittedly, I'm more of an artsy, right-brained kind of person so I found a lot of the articles and press coverage for it difficult to follow. This animated cartoon does a nice job of summing it all up!

Monday Morning Fun

Chelle over at Coffee & Zombie Movies has another great tale to share.  This one involves weirdos and airplane rides.  If you fly a lot for work or pleasure and you can relate to attracting oddballs who engage all kinds of inappropriate conversations, you must read her post.

Personally, I can relate.  The last time I flew, I was in St. Louis.  You'd think being in middle America would keep you safe from the crazies.  Nope.  A man who spoke no English shook his cane incessantly at us while we waited in line for the flight.  I guess we must have that menacing look about us that can only be chased away by incessant cane-shaking?  Then a man wearing a Rolex watch and a John Deer hat tried to get us to watch his duct-taped cooler while he stepped out of line and went outside to "pay the taxi cab driver." Who the heck travels with a duct-taped cooler?  More importantly, if you can afford a Rolex watch, why would you wear a stained $2.00 hat with it?

Anyhoo.... here's a visual taste of what you'll get if you pop on over to Chelle's blog.  Enjoy!

Sweet Delusions

I am loving one of The Oatmeal's latest pieces entitled, "The 10 Types of Crappy Interviewees."  Having interviewed several of these types in the past and possibly matching some of these types myself in my early interviewing years, I can empathize with hiring managers who have to put up with this baloney.

I know it's all in good fun, but I do wonder if this list is a bit short?  I'm not seeing some of my personal favorites here like the "gum smacker" or the "Ben Stein" (monotone drabness only works for comedians).
